I went through a major crisis around the turn of the millennium, and one of the things that gave me strength during that time was buying an SLR camera. I took a photography class, learned about aperture, ISO, and bracketing — and I discovered I had a natural eye for photography. Friends and family encouraged me, and soon my prints were hanging in their homes.
But life took me elsewhere. I spent three decades working in high tech at companies you would recognize, and while the career was successful, it wasn’t fulfilling. My imagination always returned to photography — the solace it offered, and the way it allowed me to see the world differently. Eventually, I bought a DSLR and committed myself to capturing beautiful images once again. What a joy it has been to study, learn, and dedicate myself fully to this craft.
For me, photography is about more than images. It’s about emotion. It’s the quiet charm of a city before it wakes, the raw strength of a mountain at sunrise, or the serenity of water flowing over rocks. These timeless moments deserve to be remembered and shared.
I want you to see what I saw, to feel the same enchantment I felt in those places. My hope is that these images bring joy and inspiration into your home, cabin, or workplace — just as they have brought joy and color into my life.
